A Day Spent Shopping

I think it's safe to say that today has been a pretty awesome day for me. I spent it bonding with some new friends by taking a trip to Sydney for some sight seeing and shopping. Well, i guess you can say the sight seeing got sidelined as the attraction of the shops riened us in.

It was my first ever trip to Sydney so i was very keen on seeing all the shops that they have that i don't have access to down here. I went into SWAROSKI!!!!! This is absolutely major for me as everytime i've been in the shop, i've always wanted to buy something. But for the first time in 5 years, i actually purchased a necklace. It took hours of contemplating and justifying the expenditure before coming to the decision that a purchase was necessary. I'm definately going to wear it everyday until it absolutely falls apart!!
It's a simple yet beautiful necklace that can be worn daily and also used to glam up an outfit at night. It's got the new swan designs that have been created delicately with a swaroski covering on one side and a plain swan detailing on the other. So its got two faces just like a coin, how beautiful! I also purchased Bobbi Brown's new book on makeup artistry so i will be taking some pictures later and uploading them so you can see what i got. I've also got some other things i want to blog about but right now, i'm absolutely starving!

In Search Of 'Je Ne Sais Quoi'

So, this is my first blog post since i created this blog. I've had several attempts at blogging, the last one actually lasted a while to my suprise but like the previous ones, i sort of ran out of things to talk about. I realised that the problem wasn't just boredom, it was the fact that i was manufacturing things to talk about. I constantly had to some up with something to say that didn't necessarily revolve around me or my daily life. It just didn't go with the flow of things. So i ended up shutting it down.

I'm hoping this time, it'll be different. As the title of my blog suggests, i'm quite interested in that 'thing' that the french and especially the Parisians tend to have about themselves. Now, some of you can say that this is all in the head ans also stuff made of fairy tales. But why is it that all the couture shows are shown in Paris? Why is Paris the land of love or a romantic destination? Ok, that last question was a bit cliched but you know where i'm heading. Why are the french usually classified as chic? I know the italians are referred to as sexy. I haven't been to any of these countries - Italy or France - but i'm certainly interested in knowing about the 'je ne sais quoi' that french women are famously known for having and i'd love to have a bit of it myself.
This blog isn't necessarily going to be about french women or issues revolving around that. Rather it is going to be about everything that happens in my life, or the things that are running through my mind. I guess the best way to describe it would be a snapshot of my day and the things that interest me. I won't be following any particular order when posting as such.
Have a nice day!
